When you install WebMaker you will be given the option to choose which external editor should be used for both XML and Java editing.
The initial setting will use the operating system default editor for the file being edited, but you can easily change this to use Altova's XMLSpyor any other editor ofyour choice during the install process.
If you wish to change the editor at a later point, then you will need to edit one of the following files:
For XML editing: {install location}\design\blueprints\xstore\mvc\xstore\models\view\document\view_document_rules.xml.
For Java editing: {install location}\design\blueprints\xstudio\mvc\FormMaker\models\fileViewer\Database_Server\fileViewer_Database_Server_rules.xml
In both cases, the value of the 'default_editor' parametershould be changed to one of the following:
You will need to restart the design studio server for these changes to take effect.
