If there are fields marked as mandatory within a collapsible container, no validation occurs on form submission if the container is collapsed. Is this by design or a bug? It would seem to me that these fields (if not disabled) should still be checked much as fields on a tab that is not current are checked. Since the visibility of the fields in entirely with the users control they should not be able to avoid validation by "hiding" the content. (As a workaround, I have added script to toggle these controls back open on completion prior to the webmaker mandatory field check, but this seems a bit awkward)
RE: Collapsed content not validated
I am afraid that this is a known issue with WebMaker 3.1.2. As you say, these controls should be treated in a similar way to tabs but unfortunately this is not currently the case.
This will be resolved for a future release, but in the meantime your current workaround seems a reasonable approach.

Gerard

Has this now been patched?
RE: Collapsed content not validated
This issue was resolved in the v4 release.
I don't think the changes have been released as a patch for 3.1.2 though, so you would need to upgrade to the latest release.
