This class contains all the details needed to uniquely identify a request. This will be passed around within the platform when making service calls etc so that each node/engine can determine which particualr request it is processing.

Constructor Detail

RequestIdentification

public RequestIdentification(java.lang.String sessionId,
                     java.lang.String requestId)

Standard constructor. The session and request ID strings must always be specified.

Parameters:

sessionId - A String containing the session ID value to use.

requestId - A String containing the request ID value to use.

RequestIdentification

public RequestIdentification(java.lang.String sessionId)

Constructor. The session and request ID strings must always be specified, so this constructor will automatically generate a request ID value. The generated request ID will consist of the current thread name, plus the current time in milliseconds.

Parameters:

sessionId - A String containing the session ID value to use.

cloneWithThreadId

public RequestIdentification cloneWithThreadId(java.lang.String threadId)

Creates a new RequestIdentification object that is an exact copy of this one, except that it has the specified thread ID value. This should be used when invoking new threads, so that other nodes that reference this object are not affected.

Parameters:

threadId - The ID of the thread that should be associated with the copy of this object.

Returns:

The new RequestIdentification object copied from this one, with the given thread id.

getSessionId

public final java.lang.String getSessionId()

Returns the value of sessionId.

Returns:

the value of sessionId.

setSessionId

public final void setSessionId(java.lang.String sessionId)

Sets the value of sessionId.

Parameters:

sessionId - The value to assign to sessionId.

getRequestId

public final java.lang.String getRequestId()

Returns the value of requestId.

Returns:

the value of requestId.

setRequestId

Sets the value of requestId.

Parameters:

requestId - The value to assign to requestId.

getThreadId
